Scott Waters

 

Scott Waters Served as an Infantry soldier in the Canadian Forces and later went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria and, recently, a Masters of Fine Arts degree from York University.

Recent activities include the publication of his illustrated memoir “The Hero Book”, exhibitions at LE Gallery and Open Studio in Toronto and a feature in Border Crossings magazine.   2008 includes Exhibitions at Craig Scott Gallery in Toronto, CRAM in St. Catharines and the Art Gallery of South Western Manitoba in Brandon.  Scott recently participated in The Canadian Forces Artist Program for which he subsequently received Canada Council and Ontario Arts Council production grants.  From 2008 through 2011 a selection of these works will be included in a national touring exhibition of CFAP work organized by the Canadian War Museum.

Scott currently teaches at both The Ontario College of Art and Design and York University. He lives in Toronto with his partner, her son and two cats.
