Pamela Maw was born in Washington, DC and lived in Vienna and Annandale, Virginia, USA. She has lived in the Kitchener – Waterloo, Ontario, Canada area most of her life. Maw attended the University of Waterloo and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. She went on to Queen’s University and focused on Visual Art at Teachers’ College.

Maw is an Art Specialist and was Chair of the Art at Mitchell District High School in Mitchell, Ontario. During her sixteen years in education she exhibited in juried shows in the Stratford and has been showing her work professionally since 1997. She studied independently with Art Green at the University of Waterloo. After moving from Stratford to St. Catharines with her husband Ed Wojtecki, she studied with Stu Oxley at Riverside Studio in Elora, Ontario.

Recent awards include the Dr. Michael Vennerie Award and Peoples’ Choice Award , “Twelve Mile Creek”juried exhibition, Rodman Hall Art Centre, 2002. Pam has studied at the Kriya Yoga Scientific Research Institute in India with Yogi Satyam, and at the Tom Brown Junior’s Tracking School in New Jersey, USA. Maw is influenced by the Ancients and embraces the wisdom and strength found in ancient cultures.
